On February 26, 2025, Hubei Huaguan Kiln Engineering Co., Ltd. and MCC Jiaonai (Dalian) Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. jointly completed the full process commissioning of the "TAIF Refinery VCC Unit Tail Oil Drying Production Cast Coke Project - Sample Pilot Test" in Huanggang, Hubei, marking a significant technological breakthrough in China's overseas high value-added carbon materials field.

The pilot project was officially launched on February 17th. Under the full witness of the Russian owner representative, Haihua Group, and MCC coke resistance expert team, the technical team of Huaguan Kiln strictly followed the Russian process specifications and innovatively adopted a ternary composite formula of calcined asphalt coke, anthracite, and hydrocracking concentrated residue. Through a five stage process integration of crushing homogenization hot mixing high-pressure forming dry distillation carbonization gradient cooling, the product performance reached the standard of excellent products in the casting coke industry after 10 days of day and night debugging and optimization.

As a key project of energy cooperation between China and Russia, the success of this pilot test has three strategic significance: firstly, for the first time, the full component conversion of refinery tail oil resources to high-end carbon materials has been achieved, with a 40% increase in resource utilization rate; Secondly, it has verified the reliability of domestically produced carbon equipment under harsh working conditions overseas; The third is to provide a complete process parameter package for the design of subsequent 10000 ton industrial facilities, and to offer a "Chinese solution" for the high-value utilization of global refining by-products.
