In the treatment of air pollution in my country, the pollution problem caused by coal combustion is very prominent. Among them, whether coal-fired boilers and kilns can truly achieve ultra-low emissions has become a crucial part.

　　On September 13, the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting Urban Clean Heating in Northern Heating Areas" jointly issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the Energy Administration proposed to accelerate the promotion of clean coal-fired heat sources. The clean transformation of coal-fired heat sources shall be implemented step by step. Coal-fired heat sources that are eligible for transformation shall be gradually implemented with ultra-low emission transformations, and a third-party contract energy management model that provides integrated services of transformation, operation and maintenance shall be encouraged to implement transformations for coal-fired heat sources. Ultra-low boiler emissions provide new opportunities and power.

　　At the "National Seminar on Ultra-low Emissions from Coal-fired Boilers and Clean Fuel Utilization" held a few days ago, Zhang Shaoqiang, chairman of the China Coal Processing and Utilization Association, stated that industrial boilers and kilns in the central and eastern regions of my country should learn from coal-fired power generation with ultra-low emissions. Experience, carry out ultra-low emission retrofits as soon as possible, and fully realize the high level compared with natural gas fuel emission standards as soon as possible, and contribute to the prevention and control of air pollution.

　　Zhang Fan, director of the Air Pollution Control Technology Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, believes that my country’s coal-fired boilers’ existing emission reduction systems and pollutant control technologies still have many problems, and technologies such as coordinated emission reduction of multiple types of pollutants are in urgent need of breakthroughs. A new emission reduction system needs to be formed urgently.
